LAUNCHING MOROCCAN NEWS CHANNEL AND RADIO ON THE ARABSAT BADR-4 SATELLITE

Starting from the 1st of December 2022, Arabsat announced, in partnership with the Moroccan News Agency (MAP) , the launch of Moroccan news channel “M24” and radio “RIM” on the Arabsat Badr-4 satellite, covering the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.

 

The move is part of the Agency’s efforts to reach wider audiences locally and regionally to highlight the Kingdom of Morocco’s history, civilization, art, culture and traditions.

 

On this important occasion, Alhamedi Alanezi, President and CEO of Arabsat, stated that the launching of Moroccan news channel and radio on Arabsat Badr-4 by covering North Africa, the Middle East and Europe represents a significant event in terms of Arabsat’s continuous strategy to reinforce its services to Arabsat audience viewers in North Africa and the Maghreb. He emphasized the significant considerable quality provided by the channel and the radio in terms of the diverse content and the magnificent model form it demonstrates of the Kingdom of Morocco.

 

He also completed by adding: “This partnership will increase our determination is to provide our audience with the optimal services to sustain our leadership such this field”.

 

For his part, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, Director General of MAP, expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, stating that these two channels aim to present “unique arabic products” that provide audiences with verified and credible information about Morocco and the world. Backed by a vast network of almost 200 journalists and correspondents at regional and international level, M24 and RIM Radio have considerable assets combining between a “hard news” approach and a “slow news” model that seeks to debate, explain and persuade in order to give economic, political and social actors the time to explain to viewers what they are doing.

 

It is worth mentioning that the Arabsat Badr-4 satellite has earned the trust of the Arabian audience in the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. The institution of “Arabsat” has executed several development projects during the past years, which has increased the number of viewers and followers. Arabsat today has more than 780 television channels and radio stations in addition to pay-tv networks and channels with HD technology.
